In the coming months, this feature will be on paired Wear OS smartwatches, so you can instantly unlock and access your Chromebook and Android smartphone or tablet when you’re nearby. Open or close your BMW with a digital car key, with your Samsung or Google Pixel smartphone. Starting later this year, with smartphones featuring Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, you won’t even have to take your smartphone out to use it as a car key. You can also securely and remotely share your car key with friends and family when they need to borrow your car. Google is already working to provide the product for other Android brands and other vehicle brands.
